Premiere of Serbian film “Ajvar”

Ana Maria Rossi feature debut Ajvar premiered last nigh (Thursday July 25) at 26 European Film Festival Palić at overcrowded open-air cinema theater of Summer Stage in Palić. After the screening, the present part of the crew was greeted by a loud applause. Beside the director and co-writer Rossi, actors Sergej Trifunović, Vesna Čipčić, Pavle Pekić, Ivana Šćepanović, costume designer Ksenija Terzović, editor Mateja Rackov and producer Nikolina Vučetić Zečević bowed to the audience.
On this occasion Ana Maria Rossi highlighted that she is so excited for her film was first presented at Palić Film Festival:
• “I am personally connected to the Festival, I love it. It has been organized by some people I love, here I got my first prize, for an omnibus “Some Other Stories”, nine years ago. Palić is a serious festival, significant for Europe, which has been recognized bya more and more people. I am especially glad for the fact that our film is in a competition program, together with serious authors and jury. This is our first screening with the presence of audience, so we are additionally excited. We have all the reasons to be happy.”
Based on a scenario by Ana Maria Rossi and Maja Todorović, the film follows a story of a married couple, Vida (Nataša Ninković) and Bane (Sergej Trifunović) who have been living in Scandinavia for a long time. They have successful careers, enough money for a decent life and a dog, but they do not have children. Bane has a mistress in Belgrade, which Vida knows about but chooses to keep quiet.
Beside Nataša Ninković and Sergej Trifunović other cast members are Vesna Čipčić, Miodrag Krstović, Pavle Pekić, Gordan Kičić, Igor Borojević, Aleksandra Janković, Ivana Šćepanović, Paulina Manov, Branka Petrić, Mirko Vlahović, Maja Todorović, Srđan Miletić and others.
