
The opening ceremony of 18th European Film Festival Palić will be held On Saturday, 16th of July, at 9 PM.
At the opening ceremony Srđan Karanović will receive Aleksandar Lifka Award assigned by the Festival for outstanding contribution to European Cinema. Famous director will also officially open the Festival.
The opening ceremony will be attended by Predrag Marković, Minister of Culture, Information and Informational Society, Radoslav Petković, Deputy Secretary for Culture and the Mayor of Subotica, Saša Vučinić.
Apart from Srđan Karanović, authors of majority of films within Festival’s programmes, as well as many guests: actors, directors, producers…will be hosted at the Festival.
Among others, our dear guests will be: Dome Karukoski (director of Lapland Odyssey, Finland),Andreas Dresen (Director of Stopped on Track, Germany),Miša Radivojević (director of How I Was Stolen by The Germans ,Serbia), Nicola Rignanese (actress in Whatsoeverly, Italy),Jan Komasa (director of Suicide Room, Poland),Svetozar Cvetković (actor and producer of How I was Stolen by The Germans), Bence Miklauzic (Director of Children of The Green Dragon, Hungary), Danijela Stojanovic (actress in Target, Russia) and many others...
Guest of the Festival will also be cult Croatian director Lordan Zafranović, another winner of the Aleksandar Lifka Award, who will arrive to Palić by the middle of the next week.
Eighteenth European Film Festival Palić, one of the most significant festivals in the region, will be held from 16th to 22nd July, 2011, at various locations in beautiful natural surroundings by the Lake of Palić and in Subotica.
