Position of a foreigner gives a chance to look at the truth

After working in the U.S. I am even more against commercialism, plastic botoxed people and the worship of technology as a key value

JELENA MITROVIĆ, THE PRODUCER OF ''CLIP'' (''KLIP'')

The film is not ''disturbing''

The viewers haven't seen anything different from what they usually see every day on national TV channels and in the press CLIP (KLIP) is the Serbian film that people talked about the most in 2012. If there was anything that people in Serbia wrangled about this year, it was this film. ''CLIP is a porn film with children'', the bloodthirsty ''Kurir'' has recently declared, the tabloid which makes hard-core pornography a nursery rhyme. Before and after that, Maja Miloš got and still keeps getting festival awards and stars in ctitics' reviews.
The producer of CLIP Jelena Mitrović has no reason to be dissatisfied: after BESA by Karanović, DONKEY (KENJAC) by Nuić and TRAP (KLOPKA) by Golubović, this is probably the most successful product of her film company ''Baš Čelik''.

MAJA MILOŠ, THE DIRECTOR OF THE FILM CLIP

Growing up in a harsh environment

I wanted to speak very openly about the problems of young people growing up in a harsh environment, and to see where and how love appears and manifests itself.

Acknowledged festival life at home and abroad, which is reflected in numerous awards, the debut film of our domestic author Maja Miloš CLIP, continues at Palić, where it will be shown in Parallels and Encounters programme. CLIP is a film that, through the prism of a seemingly simple love story talks about the young people in Serbia today, says director Miloš at the beginning of her interview for the Festival Newsletter.
"I wanted to deal with the problems of young people who seem to appear apathetic and on the other hand have a huge amount of energy that seeks a valve to channel itself. Anger, self-destruction and destruction are the valves through which the energy comes to the surface, but totally unexpected, even for them, tenderness and empathy occurs. Film is a combination of harsh environment, violence, drugs, trash - in which young people grow up - and the fluttering of youthful love."
