Director: Peter Tscherkassky
Happy-End is a found footage tragicomedy about ritual, celebration, and companionship. Through scenes of toasts, cakes, and shared moments, Tscherkassky constructs a reverse chronology in which a married couple appears to grow younger, culminating in a woman’s joyful yet bittersweet dance. Beneath the festive surface, the film reflects on the fleeting nature of life and the quiet vanity of human existence.
