Workshop: Celluloid Art

The workshop proposes a theoretical and hands-on exploration of the realm of avant-garde and art cinema in film format, viewed as a tool for innovation that challenges established narrative norms, thereby introducing fresh perspectives on reality. It will commence with an introduction to analog format and its essence, progressing to the observation, identification, and analysis of the expressive, formal, and conceptual resources provided by celluloid, through the examination of works by significant filmmakers from diverse currents within the field. Moreover, throughout the workshop, we will conduct a practical exercise to delve into the creative process, fostering a deeper understanding of the interplay between the cinematic vision and our surrounding world.
