Director Tia Kuovo's debut film brings us a very ordinary family story told in a way that we can all identify with. We all have a nagging family member, we all have someone who cares too much about others, someone who sometimes drinks a little too much (in the film, he drinks a lot more than that), and we believe that we all somehow like, or at least used to like, eating leftover cake filling right from the mixer at our grandmother's. Family Time is a film about family happiness, about the small details of everyday life that make up that happiness because they make us carefree, and only carefree people are able to enjoy life.
