Welcome to Båtsfjord, one of the world's northernmost fishing villages, where cod is more important than God. In Cod We Trust is a mosaic portrait of a community bound together by fish, the sea, and the surrounding landscape. Through an observational approach and intimate conversations, the film explores how history and circumstance shape people's lives and their sense of home. As the rhythms of the town unfold, its diverse and eccentric inhabitants reveal a place that is at once remote and deeply connected. The film is both a portrait of a village and a meditation on home, community, and belonging.
